Video Projectors

Video projectors take video using a signal and then projects it onto a large screen using bright lights. Some savvy or technology loving individuals use video projectors as a home theater device. It is perfect to use to watch big games, movies or even television. It makes a great alternative to purchasing a large screen television or home movie screen. Video projectors will vary in model, price and ability. Like most other things, the more that you pay, the better quality you can expect and the more features the video projector will have.

Video projectors are very similar to digital t.v. sets. The primary difference is that the image is projected onto an outside screen instead of in its’ own contained one. As technology and video projectors have improved, they have become more and more affordable for the average person. Not too long ago a video projector would cost you upwards of $3,000. Today, you can purchase a quality one for under a $1,000.

Most video projectors do not have built in sound. However, if you are a bit technical or are willing to pay someone to wire everything for you can hook up your video projector to surround sound or a really good sound system to match your big picture.

Video projectors are not just for home theatre systems. In fact, many businesses use video projectors for various reasons including presentations. What one might look for in a personal projector may be different then someone who plans on using in for commercial uses.

Choosing a video projector will also be dependent upon what you plan on using it for and what room you are placing it in. If a particular room that you plan to use the video projector for has ambient light, then you may need a brighter projector. If you have a small room, then you may only require 100-1500 ANSI lumens. For medium sized rooms, 1500-3000 ANSI lumens should be just fine. If you have a really big screen, or you are planning to use a projector in a lecture hall or large conference room, then you may need a projector with more than 3000 ANSI lumens.

Video projectors are fantastic for both small and large groups. They work well for presentations as well as for watching movies or video at home. Because technology moves so fast, what may have been expensive five years ago, may be quite affordable today. That is the case with video projectors. They can be purchased for far less then they used to be. In fact, for under $1000, you can purchase a quality video projector. Now if you need one for commercial use, you may not be able to find one for this price. However, you won’t have to pay an incredible amount more, unless of course, you want to.
